Parties

Parties represent your clients (customers) and suppliers (vendors). Link them to transactions to track who you’re doing business with. Each party can have multiple contact persons.

Adding a Party

  1. Navigate to Parties in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Party
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Name — Company or individual name (required)
    • Email — Primary email address
    • Phone — Primary phone number
    • Address — Mailing address
    • Tax ID — Tax identification number
    • Default Currency — Preferred currency
    • Role — Mark as Client, Supplier, or both
  4. Click Create Party

Client vs Supplier

  • Client — Someone who pays you (linked to income transactions)
  • Supplier — Someone you pay (linked to expense transactions)
  • A party can be both a client and a supplier

Use the tabs on the parties list page to filter by role: All, Clients, or Suppliers.

Contact Persons

Each party can have multiple contact persons — the people you interact with at that company or organization.

To add a contact person:

  1. Open a party’s detail page
  2. In the Contact Persons section, click Add
  3. Fill in:
    • Name — Contact person’s name (required)
    • Title — Job title or role (e.g., “Accounts Payable”)
    • Email — Direct email
    • Phone — Direct phone number
    • Primary — Toggle to mark as the main contact person
  4. Click Add to save

Edit or delete contact persons using the pencil and trash icons that appear on hover.

Party Detail Page

Click any party to view:

  • Party information and edit details inline
  • Contact Persons — Manage people associated with this party
  • Transaction stats — Total income, expenses, products, quotes, and projects
  • Recent Transactions — Quick view of the latest linked transactions
  • Statement — Generate a formal statement showing the running balance (Pro plan)

Linking to Transactions

When creating or editing a transaction, quote, or project, select a party from the Party dropdown. This links the record to that party for tracking and reporting.
