Discounts

Create reusable discount templates and apply them to individual line items or entire transactions. Discounts support both percentage and fixed amount types.

Creating a Discount

1. Navigate to Discounts in the sidebar
2. Click New Discount
3. Enter:
   • Name — e.g., “Early Bird 10%”, “Loyalty Discount”
   • Type — Percentage or Fixed amount
   • Value — The discount percentage or amount
   • Default — Auto-apply to new items (optional)
4. Click Create

Discount Types

Applying Discounts

Per-Item Discount

Select a discount on each line item or service item. The discount applies to that item’s subtotal before tax.

Transaction-Level Discount

Select a discount for the entire transaction. This applies to the overall subtotal after individual item discounts and taxes.

Calculation Order

1. Item-level discount applied to each item
2. Tax calculated on the discounted item amount
3. Transaction-level discount applied to the subtotal
